Maja Staleska’s working visit to Israel featured in the Macedonian portal

Maja Staleska with the Israeli Ambassador Dan Oryan

I recently visited Israel representing the company I work for as an international development partner, PrimePoint Partners. I was also developing further collaborations for the upcoming “Challenge” (an event to be held in Bitola in mid-March). ) together with the Israeli Ambassador to Macedonia, Mr. Dan Oryan. PrimePoint Partners is a platform of experts engaged in the implementation of development projects in Macedonia and the region, as well as consulting engagements for Macedonian companies or foreign investors. We also work with start-up companies and deliver leadership, management, communication, financial and other training. I can say that I was thrilled to meet so many amazing people in Israel. Ambassador Dan is so committed to strengthening the cooperation between the two countries and my expectations from these visits were way above anything that was planned.

I had the opportunity to meet and talk to professionals and successful people in the field of startups with whom we are currently actively working on development strategy. Israel’s experience and success as a “Startup” nation has a huge contribution and transfer of good practices and success stories that can be implemented and used in our country. Some of these professionals like Shahar Matorin, Michael Mizrahi, Doron Ish Shalom will visit Macedonia next month so we are already preparing for joint activities.

I must also emphasize the visit to the Holon Institute of Technology in Tel Aviv, where in the area of development of new technological innovations, there are extremely useful methods that can help fight air pollution. The institute is developing a system for using humidity in the air for heating. Since we have a huge problem with heating in winter and air pollution, these new methods can greatly help us reduce pollution. We had the opportunity to talk with Toni Levy about the joint activities we will have this year and I am really looking forward to deepening our cooperation.

Among the other visits, I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel Shelley Levy Drummer from Bar Ilan University in Tel Aviv, and visit the Smart Cities Center at the University. They present us with the latest technological inventions /solutions for the city. We will be pleased to have these people in Skopje in March and further deepen our process of agreeing on joint collaboration.

During the visit, I had the opportunity to meet with people who are interested in investing in our country, and we hope to bring Israeli companies here to start their business. The interest is huge in the IT industry, so it remains to be seen what results can be achieved.
